PBS’s What’s Good
2018 Webby Award Winner
For PBS we created a groundbreaking digital series called “What’s Good,” which won the Webby Award for Best Film and Video in the Science and Education category, beating out over 13K applicants and the likes of the BBC, Nat Geo, HBO and Discovery.
This six-episode digital series is about inspiration, information and the power of science and solved a difficult strategic problem of reaching millennial parents with kids from underserved communities.
What’s Good introduces parents to the power of STEM learning via art and culture that is experienced everyday through the voice of their own communities.
The series features a wide range of talent / influencers such as: Artist Hebru Brantley, Music Producers Peter Cottontail and Thelonious Martin as well as NBA All-Star Kendall Gill.
PBS and BPS worked together to create a series of lesson plans to accompany the series across PBS’s digital platforms.
